James K. Zimmerman

Pleasantville, New York

James K. Zimmerman (he/him) is an Illinois native currently residing in New York City. He is the author of Little Miracles (Passager Books, 2015); Family Cookout (Comstock, 2016), winner of the Comstock Writers Group Chapbook Award; and The Further Adventures of Zen Patriarch Dōgen (Poetry Box, 2024).

Zimmerman earned a BA in psychology from Oberlin College, and, following a career as a singer-songwriter, he earned a PhD in clinical psychology from the City University of New York.
