Lucy Adkins

Lincoln, Nebraska

Lucy Adkins grew up in rural Nebraska, and she attended country schools and the University of Nebraska before earning a BA from Auburn University. She is the author of the chapbook One Life Shining: Addie Finch, Farmwife (Pudding House Press, 2007) and a non-fiction book Writing in Community: Say Goodbye to Writer’s Block and Transform Your Life (WriteLife, 2013), co-written with Becky Breed. Her poetry has been published in various journals and magazines, including RhinoRed WheelbarrowNortheastSouth Dakota ReviewConcho River Review, and several anthologies including Times of Sorrow/Times of GraceWomen Write Resistance, Crazy Woman Creek, and the Poets Against the War anthology. Adkins lives in Nebraska.
