Melissa Johnson

Melissa Johnson is the author of the chapbooks Cancer Voodoo (2022, Diode Editions) and Looking Twice at the World (2008, Stepping Stones Press). Her work has been published with NELLE, Waccamaw, Borderlands, The Cortland Review, The Northern Virginia Review, and elsewhere. Johnson earned a BA from the College of Charleston and an MFA in poetry and a Ph.D. in twentieth-century British Literature and Women’s Studies from the University of South Carolina. She is employed at The Pennsylvania State University.
