Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer

Placerville, Colorado

Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer earned her MA in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is the author of many collection of poetry, including Hush (2020), which won the Halcyon Prize; Naked for Tea (2018), a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award; and The Less I Hold (2016), a finalist for the Colorado Book Award. Trommer served as San Miguel County’s first poet laureate from 2007 to 2011 and as Western Slope Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017. She was the director of the Telluride Writers Guild for 10 years. She lives in southwest Colorado.
