Susie Patlove

Charlemont, Massachusetts

Poet Susie Patlove is the author of the chapbook Quickening (2007). Patlove’s poems have been featured in Crossing Paths: An Anthology of Poems by Women (2002), as well as on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac and in former US Poet Laureate Ted Kooser’s syndicated newspaper column, American Life in Poetry. The winner of the Poet’s Seat Poetry Prize, Patlove was a finalist for a 2008 Massachusetts Cultural Council poetry fellowship.
 
Patlove took lay Buddhist vows in 1982 at the Valley Zendo. An assistant librarian at the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, she lives in Windy Hill, a rural intentional community she helped to found in 1972 in Charlemont, Massachusetts.
